After more than 20 years working with couples, I’ve seen something most people don’t talk about.
This isn’t just a wedding.
It’s a transition.
And most mothers walk into it without a roadmap for how to support their son while also protecting the relationship that matters most.
Because your role is changing.
And no one really explains how to navigate that…without overstepping, stepping back too far, or feeling like you’re losing your place.
That’s why I created this mentorship.
This Isn’t About the Wedding
It’s About Who You Are Becoming in This Season

What You’ll Step Into in This Season
-
Feel confident in your role instead of constantly wondering if you’re doing too much…or not enough.
-
Support your son without tension, pressure, or feeling like you’re overstepping.
-
Navigate your place in a season that doesn’t always clearly include you.
-
Communicate with care without damaging the relationship.
-
Know when to step in, when to step back, and how to do both with confidence.
-
Stay grounded when emotions, expectations, or family dynamics feel heavy.
-
Walk into the wedding day calm, present, and genuinely at peace with your role.
And You’ll Stop Carrying
-
The fear of saying the wrong thing and pushing your son away.
-
The pressure of trying to find your place in a season that doesn’t always clearly include you.
-
The constant second-guessing…am I doing too much or not enough?
-
The emotional tug-of-war between stepping in and stepping back.
-
The weight of unspoken expectations between families.
-
Resentment that quietly builds when you’re unsure where you fit.
-
That quiet question you haven’t said out loud…“Where do I belong in this?”.

Get to Know
Sarah Lizabeth
The Wedding Mentor™
Hi, I’m Sarah.
And after more than two decades in the wedding industry, I’ve learned something most people miss…
It’s not the wedding that creates stress.
It’s not knowing your role in it.
For more than 20 years, I’ve worked inside the wedding industry as a wedding planner, florist, venue owner, and mentor to thousands of couples and families. I’m the author of Planning a Wedding for Dummies and the host of The Snagged Podcast.
But more importantly, I’m also a mother.
And over the years, something became very clear to me.
I didn’t just relate to the couples anymore…
I related to the mothers.
Women who love their sons deeply.
Who want to support them well…
But quietly find themselves wondering where they fit in this season.
What I kept seeing wasn’t control or drama.
It was uncertainty.
A lack of clarity around what this role looks like now…
and how to show up in a way that strengthens the relationship instead of straining it.
That’s why I created The Mother of the Groom Mentorship™.
So you don’t have to guess.
You don’t have to carry this alone.
And you don’t have to feel like you’re losing your place to support your son.
You can walk through this season feeling clear, confident, and grounded in your role.
I can’t wait to welcome you inside.
